Die Blindschleiche ist unser h\u00e4ufigstes und am weitesten verbreitete Reptil. Aufgrund ihrer versteckten Lebensweise bekommt man die schlangenartige Echse trotzdem eher selten zu Gesicht.<\/p>\n

Zudem t\u00e4uscht der erste Eindruck: Mit ihrem langen beinlosen K\u00f6rper sieht die Blindschleiche einer Schlange zwar \u00e4hnlich, doch eigentlich z\u00e4hlt sie zu den Echsen. Ebenso t\u00e4uscht der Name. Denn blind sind Blindschleichen auch nicht.<\/p>\n

Einen gro\u00dfen Teil ihres Lebens, das \u00fcber 40 Jahre dauern kann, verbringt die lebendgeb\u00e4rende Blindschleiche unterirdisch.<\/p>\n

Die Hauptaktivit\u00e4tsphase beginnt bei uns in der Regel Ende M\u00e4rz\/Anfang April. Meist verlassen zun\u00e4chst die adulten M\u00e4nnchen ihr Winterquartier, um die erste Sonnenw\u00e4rme zu nutzen. Die Paarungszeit beginnt im April und kann bis in den Juni\/Juli andauern.<\/p>\n
