Zu Beginn der Storchensaison gibt es positive Neuigkeiten:<\/p>\n

Im vergangenen Jahr waren 14 Storchennester im Naturpark besetzt, von denen 9 einen Bruterfolg aufwiesen und 24 Jungst\u00f6rche aufzogen. Im Naturpark ist seit 2019 ein leichter Anstieg der Entwicklung des Wei\u00dfstorch-Bestandes zu beobachten. 2024 war ein besonders gutes Storchenjahr. Im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren gab es 2024 drei neu bewohnte Horste. Hoffnungsvoll ist auch Zunahme der Horst-Besuche. In diesem Jahr kam ein neuer Storchenhorst in Bugk bei Storkow hinzu. Entscheidend f\u00fcr den Bruterfolg ist jedoch das optimale Nahrungsangebot.<\/p>\n

Der Klimawandel macht den St\u00f6rchen allerdings zu schaffen. Die besonders trockenen Sommer schadeten dem Storchennachwuchs. Der Wei\u00dfstorch braucht intakte Feuchtwiesen, sonst verhungern die K\u00fcken. Feuchtgebiete sind vom Grundwasserspiegel abh\u00e4ngig. Um diesen Auswirkungen des Klimawandels zu begegnen, muss mehr Wasser in der Landschaft gehalten werden, etwa durch den Bau von Stauen. Solche Schwammlandschaften nutzten auch den Landwirten in der Region.<\/p>\n

Das relativ feuchte 2024 war mit \u00fcber 1.400 Horstpaaren ein Rekord-Storchenjahr f\u00fcr Brandenburg. Leider ist das Jahr 2025 bislang zu trocken gestartet.<\/p>\n
