Hirschbrunft \u2013 ein Erlebnis f\u00fcr jeden Naturfreund<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die ersten N\u00e4chte mit k\u00fchleren Temperaturen, Fr\u00fchnebel und Raureif k\u00fcndigen nicht nur das Ende des Sommers an, Anfang September beginnt auch die Zeit eines einzigartigen Naturschauspiels: die Brunft der Hirsche.<\/p>\n

In der Brunft, der Paarungszeit beim Rotwild, werden die sonst so friedlichen Geweihtr\u00e4ger zu erbitterten Feinden und liefern sich ein Duell um den Titel des Platzhirsches.<\/p>\n

\u00dcberall aus den Waldgebieten schallen zu jener Zeit lautstark die Brunftrufe der majest\u00e4tischen Tiere. Ein tiefes gewaltiges R\u00f6hren, das durch Mark und Bein geht. Ein Hirsch animiert dabei den anderen zum Br\u00fcllen. Mit den dr\u00f6hnenden Brunftrufen weisen die Hirsche ihre Konkurrenz ab. Sind jedoch beide Hirsche gleich stark, kann es auch zum Kampf kommen. Dabei rasen die Tiere aufeinander zu und versuchen, sich mit ihrem Geweih wegzuschieben. Der Gewinner dieses Kampfes wird zum Platzhirsch und darf sich mit den weiblichen Tieren paaren. Die beschriebene Brunft, die bis Oktober dauert, ist f\u00fcr die Hirsche eine sehr anstrengende Zeit, in der manche Tiere bis zu einem Drittel ihres K\u00f6rpergewichts verlieren.<\/p>\n
