Mit seinen 500 Vierbeinern samt H\u00fctehunden zieht er im Winter \u00fcber die offene Landschaft. Im Sommer aber steht die Herde allein auf Wiesen und leistet so einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Artenvielfalt. Gleichzeitig z\u00fcchtet der Sch\u00e4fer auch Herdenschutzhunde, die die Schafe hinter einem Elektrozaun gegen Angreifer im wolfsreichsten Bundesland besch\u00fctzen.\nDer Hirte und seine Sch\u00e4flein bieten nur noch selten ein biblisches Bild.
