Seit September 2022 ist Karen Ewert ausgebildete Zertifiziererin im Projekt „Natur im Garten“ Brandenburg. Sie bewertet in unserem Naturpark die Naturn\u00e4he von Hausg\u00e4rten, deren Besitzer sich um die begehrte Plakette beworben haben.<\/p>\n

Die in Neuruppin als Sonderp\u00e4dagogin t\u00e4tige Lehrerin hat von Kindheitsbeinen an einen Faible f\u00fcr G\u00e4rten. Dabei ging es zuerst „nur“ um Pflanzen f\u00fcr den heimischen Verzehr.<\/p>\n

Mutter und Gro\u00dfeltern der in Wahlsdorf im Niederen Fl\u00e4ming gro\u00df gewordenen Karen Ewert waren G\u00e4rtner. So kam sie schon fr\u00fchzeitig als Kind mit dieser jung haltenden, k\u00f6rperlichen Arbeit in Kontakt und empfand diese nie als Last, sondern als Passion.<\/p>\n

So erlangte sie schnell eine umfassende Artenkenntnis der unterschiedlichen Gartenpflanzen sowie das Wissen um deren Bed\u00fcrfnisse und ihre Verwendung. Auch der \u00e4sthetische Blick auf die heimische Gartenpflanzenwelt ist ihr bei ihrem Ehrenamt sehr wichtig.<\/p>\n

Entscheidend ist f\u00fcr sie bei ihrer Aufgabe als Zertifiziererin die Naturn\u00e4he von G\u00e4rten. Das bedeutet, deren Funktion als wertvolle Lebensr\u00e4ume und Netzwerke von Tieren und Pflanzen in ihrem Zusammenspiel zu verstehen und auf dieses Ziel hin zu arbeiten. Bei der Beurteilung der G\u00e4rten steht die naturnahe Bewirtschaftung daher im Vordergrund, also der Verzicht auf chemische Pestizide und D\u00fcnger sowie auf Torf.<\/p>\n

Im Projekt Natur im Garten hat sie im letzten halben Jahr als Zertifiziererin bereits 13 G\u00e4rten in unserer Region begutachtet und die sch\u00f6ne Plakette „Natur im Garten“ vergeben k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
