September 1990 &#8211; wurden mit dem Beschluss in der letzten Sitzung des DDR-Ministerrats zum Nationalparkprogramm f\u00fcr den Osten Deutschlands f\u00fcnf Nationalparks, sechs Biosph\u00e4renreservate sowie drei Naturparks festgesetzt. Auf dem Gebiet des heutigen Brandenburg waren das der Naturpark M\u00e4rkische Schweiz und die Biosph\u00e4renreservate Spreewald und Schorfheide-Chorin.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;<em>Die pr\u00e4gende Idee, in gro\u00dfr\u00e4umigen Schutzgebieten Naturschutz und Landnutzung ineinander zu integrieren, hat danach deutschlandweit Fu\u00df gefasst<\/em>&#8222;, so Umweltminister Axel Vogel.<\/p>\n<p>In Brandenburg wurde aus dem &#8222;<em>Tafelsilber der Deutschen Einheit<\/em>&#8222;, wie der fr\u00fchere Umweltminister T\u00f6pfer die Gro\u00dfschutzgebiete auf dem Gebiet der ehemaligen DDR nannte, ein Schatz mit Erfolgsgeschichte(n): Zum\u00a0Brandenburger\u00a0&#8222;<em>Besteck<\/em>&#8220;\u00a0geh\u00f6ren heute 15 Nationale Naturlandschaften; der Nationalpark Unteres Odertal, drei Biosph\u00e4renreservate und elf Naturparke.<\/p>\n<p>Axel Vogel: <em>&#8222;Unser Nationalpark Unteres Odertal wurde mit dem Nationalparkprogramm 1990 zudem einstweilig gesichert, das Errichtungsgesetz aber erst 1995 verabschiedet, so dass wir erst in diesem Jahr sein 25. Gr\u00fcndungsjubil\u00e4um begehen k\u00f6nnen. Er ist in doppelter Hinsicht ein Unikat &#8211; Brandenburgs einziger Nationalpark und deutschlandweit der einzige Flussauen-Nationalpark.
